Licence suspensions and cancellations, October 2026

In October 2026, QBCC suspended 1,526 licences and cancelled 625. That is 102 fewer than September for suspensions, and 11 fewer than September for cancellations. 1,162 of the licences belonged to contractors, the people who can sign a building contract with you.

The most affected licence class was Carpentry, and the suburb with the most was Burleigh Heads.

QBCC's records don't say why a licence was suspended or cancelled, and some suspensions are later lifted. A record here is not a finding of poor work. Always check today's status on QBCC's licence search.
