Licence suspensions and cancellations, September 2026

In September 2026, QBCC suspended 1,628 licences and cancelled 636. That is 18 more than August for suspensions, and 35 more than August for cancellations. 1,205 of the licences belonged to contractors, the people who can sign a building contract with you.

The most affected licence class was Carpentry, and the suburb with the most was Nerang.

QBCC's records don't say why a licence was suspended or cancelled, and some suspensions are later lifted. A record here is not a finding of poor work. Always check today's status on QBCC's licence search.
