Licence suspensions and cancellations, August 2026

In August 2026, QBCC suspended 1,610 licences and cancelled 601. That is 217 more than July for suspensions, and 82 more than July for cancellations. 1,208 of the licences belonged to contractors, the people who can sign a building contract with you.

The most affected licence class was Carpentry, and the suburb with the most was Buderim.

QBCC's records don't say why a licence was suspended or cancelled, and some suspensions are later lifted. A record here is not a finding of poor work. Always check today's status on QBCC's licence search.
